Get help with Voxera for macOS, including microphone access, global shortcut setup, text insertion, subscription status, and troubleshooting.

Setup Checklist

  1. Open Voxera and choose a global shortcut.
  2. Grant Microphone permission so Voxera can capture speech.
  3. Grant Accessibility permission so Voxera can insert text into the focused field.
  4. Grant Input Monitoring permission so the global shortcut works while Voxera is in the background.
  5. Click into an editable text field, press Option + /, speak, and press Option + / again to stop.

Troubleshooting

  • Shortcut does not start dictation: confirm Input Monitoring permission, then quit and reopen Voxera.
  • No audio is captured: confirm Microphone permission and check the selected input device in macOS Sound settings.
  • Text is not inserted: confirm Accessibility permission and make sure the target app has an active editable field.
  • Recognition is slow: check network connectivity because Voxera uses online speech recognition services.

Diagnostics

The App Store build does not include in-app diagnostics export. When emailing support, include your macOS version, Voxera version, a short description of the issue, and the steps that reproduce it.

App Store Build

The App Store build does not use web checkout or activation codes. Paid digital access should be handled through Apple's in-app purchase system before paid features are offered in the Mac App Store.
