Overview
Voxera is a macOS voice dictation app. It captures microphone audio only when you start a dictation session and uses that audio to provide transcription and related writing features.
We do not sell personal data, and the App Store build does not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Information We Process
- Audio data: voice audio you intentionally record during a dictation session.
- User content: transcript text, custom vocabulary, profile text, and writing context used for dictation, polishing, or translation features.
- Identifiers: device or license identifiers used for app functionality, voice service configuration, fraud prevention, and support.
- Diagnostics: app state and logs that you choose to export for troubleshooting.
- Performance diagnostics: latency, fallback, insertion strategy, app version, license identifier, and error metadata used to improve reliability. Performance diagnostics do not include audio or dictated text.
How We Use Information
- To transcribe speech into text and insert the result into your selected text field.
- To provide writing modes such as Dictate, Polish, and Translate.
- To configure voice services and maintain product reliability.
- To measure aggregate latency, failure rate, fallback rate, and insertion success across supported apps.
- To respond to support requests and investigate user-reported issues.
Local Storage
Voxera may store local preferences, shortcut settings, permission state, vocabulary, and dictation history on your Mac. You can remove local app data by deleting the app data associated with Voxera from your macOS user account.
Diagnostics
Voxera can send anonymous performance diagnostics in the background so we can monitor latency and reliability. You can turn this off in Settings. If you contact support, you may also choose to share issue details such as your macOS version, Voxera version, and troubleshooting notes.
Third-Party Services
Voxera may send audio, transcript text, and related context to service providers that help provide speech recognition, text processing, cloud infrastructure, and support. These providers process information only for the product functionality we request from them.
